Angus Hervey + TED
Angus is an economist, journalist and the founder of Fix the News.
He asked me to create his presentation for his TED talk on the subject of Good News - sharing stories of human progress.
Angus was excited to explore a way to make the visuals for the talk as playful and engaging as possible, while remaining accurate in its presentation of key graphs and statistics. He envisioned a talk that broke the conventional mould of presenter with clicker and 16:9 images. So we created a continuous 7 minute video that made full use of the 30 x 6 meter screen in TED's custom built auditorium.
I collaborated with the wonderful Kirsten Downie who handled the majority of the design, while I focused on animation and pulling it all together.
